If you are looking for something fun and entertaining this Christmas Season, I have a great show for you and your family. My family had the privilege to check out the Fiddle Dee Farms We Need a Lot of Christmas dinner show. It was a two hour show full of so much energy and Christmas Spirit! I was amazed at how the actors danced, sang, and acted with so much joy. You will be amazed at the stunning costumes and spend the rest of the day trying to figure out how the magic tricks worked. The Fiddle Dee Farms Christmas Dinner Show will put even the crankiest grinch in the Christmas spirit.
This show is not like any other show you will see. Let’s me share the details to help you understand more. It is set in a beautiful barn in Greenbrier. There are beautiful photo areas outside the barn door for families to take some pretty holiday themed photos. You will be seated at your table by a friendly staff member and this is where you will eat and enjoy the show. We went to the 1 o’clock matinee so we had a yummy box lunch brought to each of us. It was very tasty and very filling. We saved our cookies from the box lunch and ate them at intermission. You arrive an hour or so before the show to eat. If you do the dinner show which starts at 7:30 you will have a hot gourmet buffet. You can move your seats to turn towards the beautiful stage when it is time for the show.
The show is featured on a two-story stage in the front of the barn. It is easy to see from any area of the barn so there really aren’t any bad seats. The show is two hours long with an intermission halfway through for bathroom breaks and shopping in the gift shop. The show is fast paced and so engaging. The costumes are eye catching and beautiful. My daughter loved seeing what the ladies in the cast would come out dressed in each time they changed. There are magic tricks sprinkled throughout the show performed by Bruce Amato. The cast sings, dances, and does some funny skits. They are very talented. The singing was incredible. Especially, when they sing some traditional hymns towards the end. It was breathtaking! Our family’s favorite song was “Purple Snow” and there was a great rendition of “Ice Ice Baby” you have to see to believe.
Other things you might like to know. There is a cute gift shop that has unique gifts to purchase. Lots of cute ornaments and paintings to choose that display Christmas. They also sell a few hot drinks for $4 each. I believe the choices are hot chocolate, a few coffee choices, or apple cider. They also have some extra cookies to buy if you need a sweet treat. The bathrooms are close to your seats and clean. The building is beautiful and decorated to help set the mood of Christmas. The staff is friendly and helpful. The cast is so talented.
This show was a hit for my middle and high school children. My son loved the magic and Emma loved the singing and dancing. My husband even gave it two thumbs up. We were so happy to find an event that is geared more to our kids as they are growing up and we look for less young kid events.
