Does your family enjoy the movies? My kids love going out to the movies and now every year it is a thing for us to plan our movie schedule out for the year. I want to share with you some of the big hits that are being released that are on our list as ‘must sees’ for this year.

2019 family movie releasesDumbo – In theaters now – For those of you who have not see the original do not feel left out this is a re-imaged version of the original. Some of the classic scenes still make an appearance for those die-hard fans.

DisneyNature: Penguins – April 17- Are you a fan of documentaries? Check out this Disney story about the life of penguins.

Avengers: End Game – April 25 – This is for the older kids and those Marvel fans. The resolution to the Avengers: Infinity War story.

Detective Pikachu – May 10th – Pikachu comes alive in this story to help solve a mysterious disappearance.

Aladdin – May 24- The classic story of a street rat that find a magic lamp comes alive in a live-action movie this May.

Secret Life of Pets 2 – June 7- Our pets are back and into trouble when we are away.

Toy Story – June 21- This new installment in the Toy Story franchise comes in June with new adventures with old friends.

Spider-Man: Far from Home – July 5- More from Marvel appears with Fourth of July as Spider-Man gets called up from vacation.

2019 family movie releases Frozen 2Lion King – July 19 – Lion King get a live action/computer animated remake like that of last year’s Jungle Book.

Angry Birds Movie 2 – August 16- The birds are back but can their partner with a pig to save the island?

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil – October 18- The Evil Fairy is back, what curse will she bring this time?

Sonic the Hedgehog – November 8- Ready to move from the video game screen to the big screen, Sonic is and his friends speed into theaters in November.

Frozen 2 – November 22 – Who is ready to “Let it Go” again?

Star Wars IX – December 20- The next installment of the Star Wags saga comes right before Christmas. This may not be the young kids, but I am sure the bigger kids will want to be there to see this one.
