Nerdy events in Nashville are, unfortunately, pretty few and far between. But for those of us who look forward to these fun events, here is a list for you to add to your calendar. And, bonus, most are family-friendly so your whole family can join in the fun.

TN Maker Fest

From fabrication, to robotics, and everything in between, this free event promises to be a fun-filled time for the whole family.

Nashville ComiconSuperPets at Nashville Comicon

Complete with special guests, cosplay contests, live music, Artist Alley, Vendor Marketplace, panels, and more.

MTAC

MTAC is Tennessee’s largest fan-run convention, focusing on Anime, Manga & relevant Popular Arts – Programming for all ages, 24 hour game rooms, a formal dance, fashion, panels, pop culture guests, and more!

Happens in Spring (April of 2022). Located at Grand Hyatt Nashville – 1000 Broadway Nashville, TN 37203.

Nashville Game Night

Meeple Mountain hosts the largest, and one of the longest running, Game Nights in Nashville – on the 3rd Wednesday in Nashville and the 4th Thursday in Smyrna – every month. Nashville Game Night is open to gamers of all beliefs and backgrounds and the goal is to cultivate a community that can come together over a shared love of board games.

Way Late Play Date *

Adventure Science Center’s Way Late Play Date is a reoccurring, after-hours, adult-only night, and definitely one of the most unique experiences in Nashville with a different theme each time.

Nashville Zombie Walk

The Nashville Zombie Walk seems to be on a post-covid hiatus, but keep checking in for when they post the next event, or volunteer to help to get the Zombie Walk going again. Typically happens annually in October.

Tennessee Renaissance FestivalNashville Renaissance Festival Jousting

Travel back to 16th Century England! Jousting, a renaissance marketplace, games of skill, food and drink, musicians, jugglers and more. Read more about the TN Ren Fest.
