Have you discovered the Lego Store’s free monthly Mini Model Build? The Mini Model Build is a time for kids to build a mini model, and get excited about Legos, and building, and using their imaginations, and all of that good stuff. The model comes with picture instructions and is usually pretty easy to put together but there are staff available to help if needed. They advertise the Lego build for ages 6-14 but we see all ages there.
The event runs from 3:00-7:00pm on the first Tues/Wed of each month and there will be a quick-moving line out the door. Quantities are limited to 120 per store per night. Occasionally they have to change the date so check the calendar.
Registration for the build opens at 9am CST on the 15th of the month prior to the event. Spaces are limited.

While it’s fun for the kids to make a free mini model, it’s even more fun for them to look at the Lego scenes around the store and maybe buy a kit or two. So be prepared to stay a while even after the build is over.
